Friday 10th April, 7.30pm ON ZOOM

I was born a Man of Kent but, apart from a decade in Luton, I’ve lived most of my adult life in the East Midlands. Early on we had a few years in Nottingham, which was where I first got into folk music seriously, and the rest in Derbyshire. This concert will include trad songs and stories from both Derbys and Notts plus some bits from work I’ve done in Leicestershire. You might have heard a few of them before, particularly if you’ve seen me live, but I haven’t ‘zoomed’ many of them and there will be a few bits which I can almost guarantee will be new to you!

We’ve got to have mention of the Derby Ram and Robin Hood of course, but I wonder whether you know of Bel the Giant? (He’s from Leicestershire).

I hope you can join me for another evening of folklore in your cosy sitting room.

TICKETS: £5 each or £10 if there is more than one of you from https://www.musicglue.com/tenterdenfolkfestival/tickets NOTE: the ‘booking office’ will close the day before the event so don’t leave it too late!

RECORDING AVAILABLE: If you can’t watch the event live you can get a recording afterwards. Just buy a ticket as usual and then contact Pete and he’ll arrange it.
